Welcome to Patch Mountain Dalmatians

Here is what is currently going on with our Dals and their offspring. We have had a very successful year in 2009 and want to thank and congratulate all our owners for their achievements this past year and wish you all good luck in 2010 !

May 30
Two new titles for Maeve in one day!  And a new title for her daughter "Spring"
                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

Am/Can Ch Patch Mt's About Time Am/Can CD TDX RE OA NAJ VCD1 CGC CPC At the Thetford Mines shows in Canada Maeve earned her Canadian Companion Dog Title in just 3 shows. She earned the title with two 1st placements and one 2nd place score. Maeve also finished her Canadian Championship title the same day by going Winners Bitch and Best of Breed over a special. At the same shows Maeve's daughter Patch Mt's Spring Thyme at Blackthorn earned her Canadian Championship as well. We couldn't be more proud of Maeve and her daughter Spring's accomplishments!

Tracking Club of Vermont Test
    Mother and daughter earn new titles!

"Maeve", Ch Patch Mt's About Time TD, RE, OA, NAJ, VCD1, CPC earned her Tracking Dog Excellent Title under AKC judges Ray Desmaris and Stephanie Crawford on Sunday, April 25. She ran the           865 yard track in 13 minutes. Her track had 6 turns and she had to indicate 4 articles, a slipper, sock, an eyeglass case and finally a glove.   Her track went through a ditch with boulders and brambles, four hedgerows and crossed a road.                Good girl Maeve!

                                         

On the same day the Vermont Tracking Club also held a Tracking Dog test and "Lucy", Patch Mt's Legend in Time (Maeve's daughter) earned her Tracking Dog Title by running her 455 yard track in just 5 minutes. Judges for the TD test were Doris Vigures and Ilene Morgan. Lucy had to run her test last because she came into season two days before the test! Lucy had to indicate the start article which was a sock and indicate the end article which was a leather glove.                                Way to go Lucy!

April 19
Ch Patch Mt's About Time CD, RE, TD, OA, NAJ, VCD1 earned her Conformation Performance Certificate from the Dalmatian Club of America. This title is awarded once a year for demonstrating breed versatiltiy by earning titles in conformation as well as upper level performance titles.

April 9
Patch Mt's Legend in Time (Lucy) owed by Linda was winner's bitch and best of winners at the Syracuse show on Friday for 2 championship points. Half sister Patch Mt's Spring Thyme at Blackthorn (Spring) owned by Sara Pruyne was winner's bitch on Sunday for 2 championship points.

March 15
Patch Mtn Lily of the Valley CD, RAE,OA, NAJ, NAP, NJP, NAC, CD-H, ARCH, ARCHEX, RLX, RL2X, RL3X,CGC finished her CDX-H (CDSP) title  and was the highest scoring open dog!  Lily is owned and loved by Kathi Galotti and at 10 Lily is still competing!                                                                     Patch Mt's Amazing Surprise RN, RL1X, RL2X,CD-H, ARCH, ARCHX, CGC,

Patch Mt & Blackthorn's Atlantic Time , "Amber" (Am/Can Ch Blackthorn Coreopis of Patch Mt Am/Can TDX, RE, NA, NAJ x Ch Patch Mt's About Time CD, RE, TD, NA, OA, VCD1) earned  her first and  second Canadian championship points on Saturday, February 14, and Sunday February 15th at the Halifax Nova Scotia Kennel Club Shows. She was Winner's bitch, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite both days and earned a Puppy Group 1st on Sunday.  Amber is owned by Linda McSherry and Janice Dorey.

Patch Mt Spring Thyme at Blackthorn, "Spring" (Am/Can Ch Blackthorn Coreopis of Patch Mt Am/CanTDX, RE,NA, NAJ x Ch Patch Mt's About Time CD, RE, TD, NA, OA, VCD1) earned her first championship point on Friday, January 14th under judge Anthony DiNardo from the Bred By Class. She was expertly handled by owner Sara Pruyne. This was her very first show and you can see how lovely she is.

Patch Mt & Mainway's Show Time, "Isaac" (Ch Blackthorn Lucas' Legend RA x Ch Patch Mt's About Time CD, TD, RE, , NAJ, OA VCD1)  owned by Jeffrey Langevin was Best of Winner's for his second major at the Greater Lowell Kennel Club show on Saturday, January 15th.

New Titles for 2010

We are proud to announce that we have a new Champion! At the Greater Lowell Kennel Club show on Saturday January 15th Patch Mt  & Legend's Time for Me  (Ch Blackthorn Lucas' Legend RA x Ch Patch Mt's About Time CD, TD, RE, , NAJ, OA VCD1) owned byLinda McSherry,Dawn Eliot-Johnson & Rachel Wilday earned a 3 point major to finish her Championship title. She was handled by Dawn for all her points. The next day her first time as a special she went Best of Opposite Sex at the Merrimack Valley Kennel Club show.

Lucy, Patch Mt's Legend in Time had a very good year. She earned the rest of her single points (6), and was Best of Winners for all of those wins. She also took Best of Breed and several Best of Opposite with limited showing. She just needs her majors to finish her Championship title. Lucy also  earned her certification to take her Tracking Dog Title test in the spring.  She is also training in agility and does some obedience classes as well. Lucy is an all around good dog!

Ch Patch Mt's About Time CD, RE, TD, NA, VCD1 earned her Open Standard Agility title with  2nd and 3rd placements at the largest agility trial in the country with clean runs under course time. She also qualifed the next day in the Excellent Standard Course!  Good girl Maeve !

October 2009
Am/Can Ch Blackthorn's Violet of Patch Mt NA, NAJ, TD, CAN TD earned her Tracking Dog title on October 4, 2009 at the Pioneer Valley Kennel Club Trial in Bernardston, MA. She is pictured below with AKC tracking judgeBetty Mueller, owner Linda McSherry, AKC judge Doris Vigues and tracklayer Doris Lorange. Violet ran her track in six minutes and it had 4 turns and was 449 yards long.

             
September 2009

We had a very successful weekend at the Dalmatian Club of Southern New England Specialty on Friday, September 11th. Littermates Patch Mt & Mainways Show-Time, "Issac" (Ch Blackthorn Lucas' Legend RA x Ch Patch Mt's About Time CD, TD, RE, NA, NAJ, VCD1) owned and shown by Jeffrey Langevin and Patch Mt & Legend's Time for Me, "Jenna" owned by Linda McSherry, Dawn Eliot-Johnson and Rachel Wilday earned 5 point Specialty majors! While their other littermate Patch Mt's Legend in Time, "Lucy" owned by Linda McSherry won the large Bred By Exhibitor Class. Judge Helen Lee James gave these littermates their wins.

Patch Mtn Lily of the Valley CD, RAE,OA, NAJ, NAP, NJP, NAC, CD-H, ARCH, ARCHX, RL1X, RL2X, CGC finished her ARCHEX title with a perfect score of 210 and an almost perfect score of 209.  At the APDT Rally, Monadnock Training Center in W. Swanzy, NH, she was fourth highest scoring dog for the whole weekend.

Ch Patchmtn C Pepper N Paisley Am/Can TDX, RE, OA, RD, NAJ. NF. NP Can AG.N, AG.N.J.  earned her Champion Tracker title at the Dog Tracking Club of Maine's VST test on Sunday, August 2nd.  Carina  is only the 4th Dalmatian in history to achieve this revered title. Sara and Carina are pictured here with judges Ed Presnall and Mary Thompson.

Tops Spots Awards
    Ch Patch Mt's About Time CD, RE, NA, NAJ, VCD1 "Maeve" earned the Dalmatian Club of America Top Spots Agility award for her #7 placement in the Novice Standard class.  

    Am/Can Ch Blackthorn's Violet of Patch Mt Can TD, NA earned the Dalmatian Club of America Top Spots Agility award for her #7 placement in the Novice Jumpers class.  We are very proud of both girls.

    Ch Patchmtn C Pepper N Paisley Am/Can TDX, RE, OA, RD, NAJ. NF, Can AG.N, AG.N.J. earned a Dalmatian Club of America Top Spots Agility award for her #3 placement in the Open Standard class.  Good girl Carina!


We are delighted that Multiple BISS Am/Can Champion Blackthorn's Flower Power "Daisy" ended 2008 as the top winning female  and the #4 Dalmatian over all. Daisy was shown by Jeff Langevin and is owned by Bertha Little, Elizabeth Zedell and Joan Eversole. Daisy's breeders are Sara Pruyne, Linda McSherry and Sue MacMillan.

    More titles for Joey
Kathi Galotti reports that Joey finished in the top 20 national rankings in CDSP obedience in Novice B Class.  Joey was #17. They also finished another Championship in Level 1 of APDT Rally obedience.

    Registry of Merit Excellent Title for Grace
Ch Paisley Patch Mt's Amazing Grace Am/Can CD, RN, RD, NA, CGC, "Grace" was awarded the Dalmatian Club of America's Registry of Merit Excellent title  or ROMX , making a permanent record in Dalmatian history of her achievements. She has produced 8 Champions and her health clearances are registered in the Canine Health Information Center.

Ch Patch Mtn C Pepper N Paisley TDX, RE, OA, RD, NAJ, Can AG.N, AG.N.J. , "Carina" earned both the Conformation Performance Certificate and the Performance Ability Certificate from the Dalmatian Club of America.

    New Versatile Companion Dog Title for Maeve
Ch Patch Mt's About Time, CD, TD, RE, NA, NAJ qualified for her Versatile Companion Dog 1 AKC title when she earned her Novice Agility and Novice Jumpers titles.
                                       

    New agility titles for Maeve and Violet
Ch Patch Mt's About Time CD, TD, RE, NA, NAJ , "Maeve", earned her Novice Agility Title as well as her Novice Agility Jumpers title.
Am/Can Ch Blackthorn's Violet of Patch Mt Can TD, NA, "Violet"  earned her Novice Agility Title at her first three trials with a second placement at the largest agility trial in the states.

Ch Patch Mtn C Pepper N Paisley TDX, RE, OA, NAJ, Can AG.N, AG.N.J, "Carina" earned her Road Dog Title at the Greater Washington Dalmatian Club Road Trial with a third place.

    Championship Title for Ghost
Blackthorn Lucas' Legend RA (Ch Highland's Flying High Again x Ch PatchMtn C Pepper N Paisley TDX RE OA NAJ NF RD CPC PAC Can TDX AG AGNJ), "Ghost" earned his championship title at Mid Coast Kennel Club show on Saturday, August 30th. Ghost is owned by Dawn Eliot Johnson.

    New Road Dog and Coaching Companion titles for Izza and Jazz
Ch Patch Mt's Jazzin It Up (BISS Ch Aberdeen's Sawyer Brown x Ch Paisley Patch Mt's Amazing Grace RD, Am/Can CD, RN, NA)  earned her Coaching Companion Title at the Dalmatian Club of America sponsored Road Trial in Idaho. Jazz is owned by Deb and Adrian Sutor of Adams, Oregon. Beachcomber Black Diamond Iz (Am/Can Ch Patch Mt's Gem by Blackthorn x Am/Can Ch Beachcomber's Flower Power), "Izza" also owned by Deb and Adrian earned her Road Dog Title and got a first place in the RD-A class, High Scoring RD handled by a mounted exhibitor and High Scoring Dog from the "A" classes and a tie for HIGH IN TRIAL !  Way to go Deb we are so proud of you and Jazz and Izza.  This was their first Road Trial!

UCD Ch Patch Mt's Find A Voice CD, RA, TT, CGC (BISS Ch Aberdeen's Sawyer Brown x Ch Paisley Patch Mt's Amazing Grace RD, Am Can CD, RN, NA) earned his Companion Dog Excellent Title at a Golden Retriever Specialty with the highest score and a first place.  Jonah earned all his qualifying legs with a first placements. Jonah is owned and loved by Carol Wells.
   New APDT Rally titles for Lily and Joey
Patch Mt's Amazing Surprise RN, RL1X, RL2, CGC, "Joey",  (BISS Ch Aberdeen's Sawyer Brown x Ch Paisley Patch Mt's Amazing Grace RD, Am/Can CD, RN, NA) earned his RL2 title and is ranked 3rd for Dalmatians for 2007. Way to go Joey!  Patch Mtn Lily of the Valley CD, RAE,OA, NAJ, NAP, NJP, NAC, CD-H, ARCH, ARCHX, RL1X, RL2X, CGC finished her ARCHX title and is ranked 2nd for Dals in 2007!  Good job Lily!  Both Lily and Joey are owned and loved by Kathi Galotti.

Ch Yankee Sebago Nor'easter RE, CGC, TDI owned by Nanci Hayes, earned his Companion Dog Title on June 21st at the Penobscot County Kennel Club shows. Way to go Blizzard and Nanci !

    Tracking title for Jonah
"Jonah", UCD Ch Patch Mt's Find A Voice CD, RA, TT, CGC, Therapy Dog earned his Tracking Dog title on February 2, 2008. He is owned by Carol Wells and lives in Kansas City.  Jonah is the third offspring of Ch Paisley Patch Mt's Amazing Grace Am/Can CD, RN, NA, RD to earn their Tracking Dog title!  We are very proud of Carol and Jonah!

    Championship and Rally Excellent titles for Blizzard

        Rally Obedience Excellent title for Maeve

Ch Patch Mt's About Time RE, TD completed her Rally Obedience Excellent title at the Windham County Kennel Club show on         November 25th with a second placement.  She also earned a Novice Standard Agility leg at the same shows. Maeve is happy          to be back working again after taking time off for babies.

    Rally Obedience Advanced title for Ghost

Blackthorn Lucas' Legend RA earned a new title. Ghost earned his Rally Advanced Obedience title at the Midcoast Kennel Club         show on September 2, 2007.  Good boy Ghost!

We are thrilled that Maeve's mother Ch Paisley Patch Mt's Amazing Grace Am/Can CD, RN, NA, RD was tied for the  Spotter Top Spots Dam for 2006!  The breeding to BISS Ch Aberdeen's Sawyer Brown  produced six champions from her litter of nine puppies.

Ch Patch Mt's About Time TD, RE also earned a Top Spots  herself for passing her Tracking Dog Test  at the Dog Tracking Club of Maine's 2006 fall test.
