Patch
Mountain Dalmatians
is the name of our kennel. We live in one of the most beautiful parts
of Maine in the foothills of the White Mountains. Our home is at the
foot of Patch Mountain and our very first Dalmatian was patched.
We started in Dalmatians in 1983 and have owned and loved the
breed since then. The focus of our breeding program has been to produce
healthy, well tempered and sociable Dals and we always strive to
improve the quality of our beloved breed. All of our Dalmatians have
their CHIC (Canine Health Information Center) numbers from the OFA
which means they have undergone the health testing which includes BAER
Neurohearing testing, Thyroid, CERF eye exam, OFA Hip x-rays. You can
see our health test results if you type in Patch MT on the OFA website http://www.offa.org/ .
We
participate
actively in performance venues as well as in the
conformation ring and have placed agility, obedience, rally
obedience, tracking and road dog titles on our own Dalmatians. Our
breeding program has also produced top
obedience winners,
Dalmatians titled in performance in both Canada and the United States
as well as therapy dogs. We also bred the 4th, 6th and 7th Dalmatians
to ever earn
the coveted title of Champion Tracker.
